Warm yellow light

How do glow sticks work?

Glow sticks contain a chemical inside the plastic. They have a second chemical in ampoules or vials inside the glowstick. When the vials are broken, the two chemicals combine to create light. Fluorescent dyes provide the color. All the ingredients of glowsticks are common household chemicals that don't produce any heat or electricity.
