What's a premium glowstick?
Premium glowsticks are larger than regular glowsticks -- 50% bigger around, in fact -- so they contain more of the chemicals that make a glowstick glow. This means that our premium glowsticks are brighter and longer lasting even than our regular glowsticks.
The premium glowsticks also have a hook built in and a string included, so they're perfect for glowstringing and glow poi dancing, You can wear them around your neck like a pendant and use them to decorate your party.
Glow poi dancing
Poi dancing is a traditional dance style of the Maori people of New Zealand. In poi dancing, weights on strings are spun in a variety of rhythms and patterns. Polynesian dancers in other traditions also do similar types of dancing. Glow poi dancing builds on this traditional style. Just thread a string through the hook at the end of the glowstick. Take one string in each hand and spin the string so that the glowstick goes around in a circle. Experiment with different patterns and tempos for your own glow poi style.
