Blue and moods
Color experts have a lot to say about the way colors make us feel. Yellow irritates people, but makes them pay attention better. Red makes people hungry. Orange makes people do things faster.
Blue, on the other hand, makes people feel calmer. In fact, even though we have the saying "feeling blue" to describe sadness, the lights on train platforms in Japan are being switched to blue lights in order to reduce the stress of Japanese train rides and make people happier.
