Glow poi dancing
Poi dancing is a traditional style of dance in which poi, weights on strings, are spun in patterns. Strings are usually about arm length, and the dancer holds one in each hand.
Glow poi uses glowsticks tied to strings. Hold one string in each hand and swing the glowsticks in circles, figure eights, or other patterns to create a light show. Add a glow lei to remember the Polynesian origins of the dance and to give yourself a little extra glow!
Are glow leis safe for kids?
Glow leis are great for parties, including kids' birthday parties, and they're great for costumes, too. Can you let your kids wear them? Certainly! Glow sticks and glow accessories, including glow leis, get their energy from a harmless chemical reaction.
